Paden Baptist Church
Gadsden, Alabama
About this recent digital carillon installation:
"For many years I have searched for a replacement for our chimes system. I found the price to be between $12,000 and $17,000 and I never felt led to present any of these findings for purchase. A recent search found this chimes system at the price of $3,995.12 for the program unit and amplifier. This is to replace a system no longer operating or repairable. The old system cannot be fixed as parts are no longer available.
The audio was provided by an 8 track player. The programming and audio for this system are contained in the programming and folders of an iPad. An audio video technician determined that it would connect to our present speaker system in the steeple, so a speaker system is not included in the purchase. This comes to you as a request for your approval from the Building, Grounds, and Equipment committee.” David L. Parker, Carillon Committee Chairman.
